The Community Festival
This festival harks back to the tradition of street theatre with a community twist.
As a way of bringing the arts to the community and the less privileged, artists and puppeteers will bring their performance and audience into hospices, orphanages, old folks home and other similar centres to promote the arts in community, and also promote the cause and mission of these various centres.
Spanning over 3 weeks, this FREE event features intimate roving performances – a mix of traditional and contemporary puppets – presented in street theatre style in these various community venues.
A.I.D (Angels in Disguise)
天使到过人间
A little girl is being ostracized by the society because of her appearance.
A middle-aged man suffers from depression but is in constant denial.
An elderly lady loses a large part of her memory due to dementia.
These characters are representations of the marginal people we see around us everyday, people whom some of us have chosen to neglect or ignore.
Angels in Disguise is a community play which attempts to awaken our senses and rekindle our basic humanistic spirit.
小女孩长相不一样，被拒门外而落单
中年男子执迷不悟，在纸醉金迷中宁死不屈。
老太太的记忆患得患失，活着仿佛行尸走肉。
他们是日常生活中的路人甲乙丙丁，平凡无奇。在这样一个急功近利的社会，我们都太忙太自己，所以选择视若无睹或不加予理会。
真正的残缺是心灵的残缺。每一个生命的出现必定有其存在的价值和意义。这世界，没有真正的丑陋或不幸。天使到过人间 是一项社区义务演出工程，旨在宣导人本关怀，唤醒人文精神里的尊重与博爱。
